Position Synopsis

We seek a dynamic team member, with enhanced system knowledge to provide ongoing support for SAP (Vn 4.7/6.0) and other systems solutions to the Financial Services team. The ideal candidate should demonstrate excellent knowledge of Financial Services systems and processes, be adept at evaluating systems to identify opportunities for best practices and have an absolute determination in resolving issues and seeking innovative solutions. He/She must be able to develop networks cross teams and with local process specialists, project and Group Information Management support teams

Core Responsibilities

• Provide systems support and process specialist knowledge to Financial Services operations teams and act as the Subject Matter Expert across teams in Financial Services

• Provide advice and support to build technical skills and knowledge within the team, which includes preparation and delivery of SAP training

• Evaluate & analyse systems to identify opportunities, make recommendations and measure performance in efforts to support the adoption and maintenance of best practices

• Conduct initial assessment and endorsement of all proposed system enhancements to ensure completeness and business readiness and work to embed approved system support processes with the Financial Services team

• Fulfil 1SAP Process Lead activities in monitoring and reviewing Change Requests, support systems upgrades and enhancements, including performing testings as required

• Act as second point of internal escalation for complex systems issues and work with relevant project teams on resolution

• Actively participate in and provide input to systems governance forums, including forums to review and prioritise business process and systems changes to deliver improved business outcomes

• Monitor support data and problems logged in order to identify trends requiring additional training or system enhancements

• Coordinate global systems network and manage global network changes in delivering greater standardisation and commonality in both business processes and system design within Financial Services

• Ensure documentation relating to relevant procedures and tasks is maintained

• Monitor and ensure compliance to relevant SoX and internal system controls, identify risks and provide input into planning and actioning risk assessment

• Maintain user access profile integrity and facilitate updates to user role profiles as directed

• Comply with the OHS policies and procedures and care for the health and safety of self, team members and staff of

BHP Billiton & participate in safety meeting and safety inspections as and when required

Skills and Experience

The successful candidate should possess:

• Degree in Finance or Accounting or related disciplines, with significant years of professional experience in established organizations

• Demonstrates an in-depth knowledge of Finance Services Systems & Processes, along with a detailed knowledge and understanding of finance specific legislation

• Able to adapt to, manage and lead change initiatives with a strong passion for innovation and process improvement

• An absolute focus on results

• Excellent analytical thinking and trend analysis skills to troubleshoot and resolve system and process issues effectively

• A high level of communication skills and interpersonal abilities to build effective relationships and engage process teams and key stakeholders

• Internal consulting and training skills in coaching cross-teams

• Capability in MS Office application and in the use of SAP, Versa, Caseware software
